Visit me at http://fikalo.blogspot.com/, “A Humble Art Folio.”
I’m a 20-something Australian girl, married, mother. I’m studying Sociology at university, with a minor in Journalism, and have undertaken studies in Education and History / Politics.
I am a committed member of my local Church, where I am privileged to be part of the volunteer team of youth leaders. Part of my work with teenagers includes preparing small group Bible studies relevant to people aged around 12 through to 18 years, running a home group for senior high school girls aspiring to be church leaders (a huge responsibility!!), and assisting with the welcoming team where we make sure that visitors feel welcome and connected to the ministry (it’s pretty big, we serve several hundred teenagers).
My aim here is to provide the reader with simple and fast Bible studies that will help them to reflect on God’s Word. I also hope that I can encourage the spiritual seeker - someone who is not sure of their spiritual position - to consider Jesus and the Bible.
I love Jesus, and I love studying the Bible. The Bible has transformed my life! Not a cliche - it really has changed me.
I was raised as a Roman Catholic but in my ignorance I never understood the importance of the Gospel message. Evolutionary teaching turned me off the Bible and thus began a long journey exploring a variety of religions and spiritualities, especially Neo-Paganism, aliens, and occult.
When I was 20 I was introduced to Jesus and, thank the Lord, He has saved me and given me a new life and transformed me. I write this without exaggeration or hyperbole. It is my desire to share with others the love of Christ, and to offer them the opportunity to get to know God through Jesus.
Spiritual seekers who are open to the possibility of exploring Jesus are welcome to visit my blogs, and I hope you will find my writing thought provoking and occasionally challenging, but respectful of your free will!

Looks like a cool blog to visit! Love your message!
Well thank you! I hope you get something out of it!
Wow- thank you for your thoughtful preparation of study of Scripture. I am using your outline and information for my Bible STudy to prepare for Christmas. God is obviously using you in a great way! blessings!
Thank you for your encouraging comments, and I hope that you’ll find the Bible study ideas a useful foundation for your Christmas time preparations!
I found your site while looking for pictures of the nativity and found your angels and shepherds pictures. I love that picture and your journey to bethlehem picture. As a youth pastor, I appreciate your desire to serve our Lord Jesus and pray that you continue to stay strong in your convictions.
Thank you for your encouragement!
Would you mind if I showed a couple of your paintings during our Children’s Christmas Program? We’re making a slide show to show while they sing.
Assuming it’s a one-off, I don’t have a problem with it.
